How we are paid
Affiliate disclosure
How Weekend Hustle is paid for, through affiliate links and advertising, and why neither decides what we recommend.
Weekend Hustle is free to read. It is paid for in two ways, and you should know about both before you rely on anything we write.
Affiliate links
Some links in our articles are affiliate links. If you follow one and then sign up or buy something, the company may pay Weekend Hustle a commission. You pay the same price whether you arrive through our link or go to the company directly.
Each of those links is labeled for search engines as a paid one (the rel="sponsored" attribute, for anyone who reads page code). Articles that contain affiliate links also say so in a short note at the top, before the article begins.
What a commission does not buy
No company can buy a recommendation from us. Whether one pays a commission has no bearing on whether we suggest it, how we describe it or where it sits in an article. If something is not worth your weekend, we will tell you, whatever it might have paid.
Advertising
Advertising may also appear on the site. Advertisers have no say in what we write, and an ad printed beside an article is not our endorsement of it.
If this changes
If the way the paper is paid for changes, this page will change with it.
